Despite Jazz Chisholm Jr., a standout player for the New York Yankees, having a difficult postseason thus far, the Yankees have jumped out to a 2-1 series lead over the Kansas City Royals. On Wednesday night, however, it was Giancarlo Stanton, the big bat, who was making things happen for the Yankees. The team’s other former Marlin not only stole a base but also scored an RBI double in the fourth inning and a solo home run in the eighth to win the game!

Even though Chisholm struggled once more, going 0-for-4 at the dish for the evening, the Kansas City crowd never stopped booing him whenever he took the field. Even after Chisholm was retired, the jeers got louder every time. According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, Chisholm maintained perspective despite the critical audience with a funny postgame remark.Chisholm is just 2-for-12 at the plate in three games in this series, despite playing exceptionally well since being dealt from the Marlins to the Yankees in the middle of the season. If he were to play the entire season, his batting average with the Yankees would be a career high. Chisholm is currently just 3-for-23 at the plate in his three postseason games, despite hitting a home run for the Yankees in the eighth inning of Game 2.
