At the Leigh Sports Village, Manchester United defeated Leicester City in the Women’s Super League match that took place at midday. The final score was 2-0 in favour of Manchester United. Both goals scored by Melvine Malard and Leah Galton came in the first half of the match, and they were the ones that caused the most damage to The Foxes. Despite a strong comeback in the second half, Leicester was unable to secure a victory in the northwestern region. At this point, United has won their last seven matches in the WSL. A 2-0 victory over Leicester City allowed Manchester United to win the Women’s Super League for the seventh time in a row when they defeated Leicester City.
Melvine Malard and Leah Galton scored goals in the first half to bring the team coached by Marc Skinner to within four points of the leaders Chelsea, who are scheduled to play Brighton & Hove Albion later on Sunday.
After failing to improve on their victory over Aston Villa by a score of 3-0 before the international break, Leicester continues to be ranked tenth. In the nineteenth minute, Malard broke the tie by latching onto Ella Toone’s superbly weighted through ball and chipping it over Janina Leitzig in a cool and collected manner.

Despite the fact that Skinner’s team had a solid claim for a penalty rejected down when the ball looked to contact Sam Tierney’s arm inside the box, the home team was able to double their lead in stoppage time at the end of the first half.
Toone played a crucial part in the second goal by passing the ball to Malard, who then went on to set up Galton for a clinical finish after he made a darting run into the back of the net.
