Following Sunday’s 4-3 loss to Manchester United, Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk declared that the Reds would give “everything” and said that they only had themselves to blame.

After the Reds were eliminated from the FA Cup in the quarterfinals, Jurgen Klopp will not be leaving his position as manager of the team at Wembley Stadium. Despite Liverpool leading twice during the 130-minute match, Amad completed their quadruple with a late stoppage-time winner in extra time.

Now, the Reds’ players travel the globe to play in their individual international competitions. With a Premier League title race and a Europa League quarterfinal approaching, Van Dijk has promised that they will keep fighting on the remaining fronts.

He wrote on Instagram, saying, “Especially considering how strong we have been so far this season, we only have ourselves to blame.”

“Time for internationals then we’re back to give it everything we have.”

One of England’s most hotly contested matches resulted in an exciting cup tie. However, Scott McTominay’s close-range goal after ten minutes put Liverpool behind the score.

Two goals in as many minutes from Mohamed Salah and Alexis Mac Allister turned the tide of the match in their favor at the half. Liverpool appeared to be headed for their second trip to Wembley this season after dominating the second half, but with three minutes left in normal time, Antony managed to notch an equalizer.

Harvey Elliott’s deflected goal gave the Reds the lead again in extra time, but Marcus Rashford and Amad, who completed a brilliant counterattack late on, gave Erik ten Hag’s team a response. Rashford took advantage of a Darwin Nunez error.
