At King Power Stadium on Saturday, newly promoted Leicester City was defeated 2-1 by Aston Villa.

Amadou Onana gave the Villans the lead shortly before the half-hour mark following a brilliantly executed set piece.

However, Leicester came back and pushed for an equaliser before the break, and in the sixty-third minute, Jhon Duran added another.

Facundo Buonanotte, a Brighton loanee, gave Aston Villa a brief comeback, but Unai Emery’s team held strong and won all three points away from home.

Lamare Bogarde, the left-back for Aston Villa, was nominated by BBC columnist Troy Deeney to his Premier League Team of the Week.

“I’ve made some changes to the back. The former Watford striker added, “He made his debut for Aston Villa and handled himself very well.”

Bogarde was making his Premier League debut while playing out of position after spending time on loan at Bristol Rovers in the EFL.

The 20-year-old had a mixed game and did have some excellent moments, but he also had some responsibility for Leicester’s goal, as Stephy Mavididi beat him all the way to the box and then chipped the ball back for Buonanotte to score.
