‘Vanilla’ to ‘sprinkles’: Freo finds ‘another level’ as Dees rediscover ‘premiership standard’… at a cost

At Rushton Park, the Dockers were victorious by a score of 16.13 (109) to 11.24 (90) after being propelled by a six-goal second quarter blitz in Mandurah. From that point on, they never made a mistake in their victory.

Fans of Melbourne, on the other hand, will be encouraged by the return of Petracca, who, along with Oliver, racked up a total of 51 disposals and 20 clearances throughout the game. Oliver also contributed three goals to the team’s total.

The former Eagles coach Adam Simpson stated that the Dees had returned to their “premiership standard” after the addition of star captain Max Gawn to the mix.

Jacob van Rooyen, a forward for Melbourne, had a back injury in the first few seconds of the game, which left the team feeling down.

At the opposite end of the pitch, Fremantle veteran Michael Walters turned back the clock to score three goals, and Patrick Voss added two goals while playing in the final quarter of the fourth quarter.

WHAT IS THE 3-2-1?

3. The word “VANILLA” A ‘SPRINKLE’ IS FOUND BY FREO, WHO ARE IN NEED OF IT.

Concerns were made over the Dockers’ playing style throughout their practice match versus the Indigenous All Stars, which took place a month ago. The Dockers were accused of being “vanilla” during the encounter.

However, in their match against Melbourne on Sunday, the Dockers scored six goals in a row during a blitz in the second quarter, demonstrating that they do have a few “sprinkles” to add to the mix. Matthew Pavlich, who works for Fox Footy, shared his opinion that “they were slow to start.”

They were in a position of backwardness. The opening punch had been thrown by Melbourne, and once they got going, the Demons did a fantastic job of moving forward.

It seems to me that Fremantle has found their footing in the game.

“During the open play, they appeared to be way more dangerous than they actually were.”
