According to reports, a trade agreement is currently in the process of being negotiated between Collingwood, Port Adelaide, and Gold Coast. The transaction would involve the exchange of four players and multiple draft selections.

There has been a lot of back-and-forth between the Magpies, the Power, and the Suns regarding the futures of Joe Richards, John Noble, Jack Lukosius, and Daniel Houston. All of these players are currently considering moving to other countries during the offseason.

While Noble, a teammate of Richards’, is trying to transfer to Queensland, where Lukosius is considering leaving in favor of also going to Alberton, Richards has asked to be traded to Port Adelaide. Noble is also interested in moving to Queensland. As a result of Houston’s desire to settle in Victoria, the Magpies, Blues, and Kangaroos have expressed interest in acquiring his services.

A deal that allows all three teams to get players and desired draft capital in exchange for hands might satisfy many trade requests at the same time. According to reports, Houston is now favoring a move to Collingwood, which could result in an agreement being reached.

According to The Age, the two-time All-Australian is reportedly considering a move to the Magpies as he aims to return to his home state. This decision might potentially open the door for the Power to acquire both Lukosius and Richards. The Magpies are being considered as a potential destination for the Magpies. It is rumored that Collingwood made an offer to Gold Coast to trade their first-round selections from the 2025 draft and Noble to them in return for picks 13 and 23, but the Suns declined the offer. In order to get Houston, the Magpies are looking to shift Pick 13 onto the Power along with Richards. However, it is anticipated that this offer will not be sufficient to satisfy the South Australian club.

According to reports, the Magpies are eager to keep their hands on Pick 23, and they intend to use that selection in the draft.

Despite the fact that players are coming in for both Gold Coast and Port Adelaide, a trade that incorporates all four players, as well as the Suns’ two selections and Collingwood’s future first-round pick, may require additional picks to be sent to both Gold Coast and Port Adelaide.

The Power would be able to avoid giving up their future first-round selection in order to acquire Lukosius if they were to reach an agreement on a trade. This is because the club is expected to obtain a higher value in exchange for the loss of Houston.

In order for Port Adelaide to be able to trade their first-round pick in 2025, they will need to obtain permission from the Australian Football League (AFL). This is because they have not used an early selection in the previous two years. Their plans to be able to part with that selection have been alleviated as a result of the club’s recent acquisition of Jason Horne-Francis, who was the former Number One draft pick. Additionally, Houston’s departure should increase their prospects of being able to do so.

A trade that involves the Magpies and Power is made more complicated by the fact that the Suns are also speaking with Richmond on a prospective sale of Daniel Rioli. Pick 23 may also be involved in this transaction, which adds to the complexity of the situation.

Although it is anticipated that the Tigers would acquire Pick 6 in exchange for Rioli, it is also rumored that the Punt Road team is interested in acquiring another draft selection from the Suns on the other hand.
