This coming weekend, the Lane Group Stadium in Mandurah will play host to a number of the league’s most prominent players.

In the final pre-season matchup that will take place before the first round of the Australian Football League season begins, Fremantle and Melbourne will compete against one another on Sunday, March 2.

It has been five years since the facility has played host to an Australian Football League game.

Paul Lekias, the CEO of Peel Thunder, has stated that he anticipates more than seven thousand fans to attend the game.

“It’s a major event, we’re excited for Fremantle and Melbourne to come and take each other on here at Lane Group Stadium,” he explained to reporters.

We anticipate that both teams will present their best teams, which should result in a fantastic competition and a wonderful opportunity for people to have a better understanding of some new players.

“We hope to fill the place, there’s going to be plenty of food and drink options for everyone and it’s just a great opportunity to showcase that we can put on a good show here in Mandurah.”

Lane Group Stadium, according to Mr. Lekias, is an ideal venue for families who, under other circumstances, would have a tough time attending a game at Optus Stadium.

“The ability to sit on the grass and the kids can still move around and not have to be cordoned to one seat, we’re hopeful it’s a really great experience for families that come and hopefully those that really enjoy it will look forward to watching some WAFL footy throughout the year.”
