The worst possible encounter for Manchester United, as Paul Pogba finishes his return and Amorim reaches a new low.

In order for Ruben Amorim to conclude his first season as the head coach of Manchester United with even the tiniest hint of optimism, a great deal of things need to fall into place for the club before the month of May comes to a close to be considered successful. There is still a chance for the Red Devils to salvage something from a terrible season, just as they did with their victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final the previous year.

However, if Amorim and his team are able to make sound choices and have a little bit of luck on their side, they will be able to eliminate the possibility of them going into the summer on a losing streak. United has fallen to thirteenth place in the Premier League with nine matches remaining, the most of which are unfriendly. There is not much to play for in this competition. In order to prevent a poor season from becoming even more disastrous, Express Sport has identified three scenarios that the Old Trafford giants must steer clear of throughout the next three months. Paul Pogba has rejoined Manchester United.
Taking this into consideration, one of the worst things that the new-look management of United could do is to sanction Paul Pogba’s unexpected return to the M16 unit.

After serving his 18-month doping suspension earlier in March, the 32-year-old midfielder is now a free agent. It should come as no surprise that he has been connected with his previous club on multiple occasions.

On the other hand, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, his football leadership team, and Amorim have made it quite plain that United must prioritise reducing the average age of the squad as well as the pay expenditure.

If Pogba were to return to the club for a third time, it would be harmful to both of their goals and would make absolutely no sense. The gold medal is not won by Ruben Amorim.
For Amorim, it’s either the Europa League or nothing. United will have one last opportunity to win a trophy this season and to compete in European football the next year if they are victorious in Bilbao on May 21.

The Red Devils will be able to secure a spot in the Champions League for the 2025–2026 season if they are able to keep their perfect record after 12 matches and win the champions’ championship.

During the league phase, Amorim’s team ended in third place, winning all four of their matches under his direction. In the round of 16, they defeated Real Sociedad by a score of 5-2 on aggregate.

A match versus Lyon in the quarterfinals is scheduled to take place in April. Athletic Club, Lazio, Tottenham Hotspur, and Rangers are some of the other prominent competitors who could potentially stand in United’s way in the future. Jadon Sancho is being sent packing by Chelsea.
Receiving a fee of five million pounds as a result of a loan transaction, during which a player’s wages were covered to the extent of fifty percent, is a great development.

However, it is common knowledge that United would be in a far better position if Chelsea remained true to their agreement and paid the price of twenty-five million pounds to permanently sign Jadon Sancho throughout the summer.

Amorim is in need of financial resources in order to strengthen his team, and the sale of Sancho, Marcus Rashford, and Antony may bring in at least eighty million pounds.

Even if the 24-year-old player were to return to Old Trafford, it would be inevitable that he would leave for better opportunities abroad. However, United cannot afford to lose time attempting to identify his next location because there are so many other things that need to be covered.
