Harry Perryman, a free agent from GWS, will be joining Collingwood on a long-term deal, according to new information that has come to light regarding the Magpies’ late pursuit of him.


The news that the 25-year-old player will be joining the club that he supported as a child was initially revealed by Callum Twomey of AFL Media on Tuesday morning. This comes after the player played 129 games and eight seasons with the orange and charcoal.


After some time had passed, the Giants officially announced that Perryman had left the team and that Collingwood had been selected as his preferred destination.Perryman will leave the Giants without any trade between the two clubs because he is an unrestricted free agent. Free agency will begin on Friday, and the Giants will not be able to make any trades with other teams.


According to a statement released by the club on Tuesday, “Giants defender Harry Perryman has informed the club of his decision to explore his options available to him as an unrestricted free agent.”


Throughout the course of eight seasons, the Riverina product participated in 129 games while wearing orange and charcoal.The GWS Academy player was the subject of intense pursuit by Port Adelaide during the majority of the year; nevertheless, the club was unable to secure his services, despite the significant offer that was made.


 

In accordance with Twomey’s assertions, Perryman is going to commit to a six-year working relationship.

 

In an interview with Trade Radio on Tuesday, he stated that Harry Perryman has chosen Collingwood and will be signing a six-year contract with them. “You have to pay that much for free agents,” he said.

 

The Pies will be able to employ him in the middle of the field; this is an additional feather in their cap.
