The Ohio State University Marching Band honors Billy Joel during Michigan halftime show

As part of the eighth halftime show of the 2024 football season, the Ohio State University Marching Band put aside their rivalry with the Michigan Marching Band in order to pay tribute to Billy Joel.


The band TBDBITL gave a performance of several great songs by Billy Joel, such as “We Didn’t Start the Fire,” “Piano Man,” and “Uptown Girl.”


The halftime performance was directed by Dr. Christopher Hoch, Associate Director Phillip A. Day, and Assistant Director Josh Reynolds. Other directors included Josh Reynolds.


Through their rendition of “Pirates of the Shoe,” the Ohio State marching band took their audience on an adventure into the world of pirates during their most recent stage concert.The following is a list of how the marching band from Ohio State University performed on Saturday:

“Piano Man”

“Pressure”

A performance by the Ohio State Marching Band will take place during the halftime break of the Michigan rivalry game.
