Fans of Status Quo came from all over the world to attend what might have been the band’s last performance that they ever performed.

A Live in Somerset event was held on Friday at Vivary Park in Taunton, and the British rockers were the headliners of the show.

The lead vocalist, Francis Rossi, had earlier stated in an interview with the Daily Mirror that he anticipated that this tour would be their final one, and the show in Taunton was the final one of the tour.

The band did not hold a major goodbye performance onstage; however, a fan named Alfonso Cacciatore, who is 61 years old and has witnessed Status Quo perform live more than 300 times, expressed that the conclusion of their tours will “leave a hole.”During his journey from Kettering to Taunton, Mr. Cacciatore, who had traveled there from Kettering, stated, “We meet people over the years, and you make friendships.”

He continued by saying, “It’s very personal. Following the event, we are going to get together, and a few members of the band will also be present.

With all his heart, he believed that it would be the final performance of the band. However, he said, “But I hope not,” and continued by noting that he “always gets butterflies” when he is at the shows.

After being created in 1962 under the name The Paladins, the band went through a number of name changes before settling on the moniker Status Quo.

As long-time band members Rossi and Rick Parfitt first met in Somerset, at Butlins in Minehead, it would be fitting if Friday was their final gig. Butlins is located in Minehead.

The performance by Taunton was one of several concerts that took place in Vivary Park over the course of the bank holiday weekend. Other acts that were featured in the lineup were Busted, JLS, and Ministry of Sounds Classical.According to the BBC, Michelle Moore, who is 62 years old, and Peter Moore, who is 65 years old, met at a Status Quo event in Cardiff in the year 1977.

In addition, Mrs. Moore, who has a tattoo of Francis Rossi’s autograph on her arm, stated that the couple has attended around sixty performances since then.

Her response to the question of whether or not they believed they were at the band’s final performance was, “We think so.”

Another fan, Herbert Adelbauer, who is 37 years old, traveled from Vienna to see the 61st Quo event on Friday morning. He stated that he will be traveling back to Vienna at 06:00 British Summer Time on Saturday.

“Probably this is the last Quo gig and if it is, that’s it,” he stated to reporters.

“And if they come back in two years’ time, then it will just be the most craziest concert.”
