Ruben Amorim is now open to selling Manchester United’s £44m player after receiving enquiry from Saudi Pro League

The Saudi Pro League have shown an interest in Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana and TBR Football understands the Cameroon star would be open to moving to the Middle East this summer.

Onana joined United in 2023 under Erik Ten Hag to replace David De Gea in a deal worth around £44 million but has struggled to establish himself at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have been planning to enhance their goalkeeping department this summer and TBR Football revealed earlier this month that United had enquired about Burnley’s England goalkeeper James Trafford.

Ruben Amorim now looks set to allow the Cameroonian international to leave and bring a replacement to United.

Manchester United open to selling Ander Onana to Saudi Pro League

The Saudi Pro League have made early moves to check on Andre Onana’s situation and they have received encouragement from both the player and Manchester United that a deal is there to be done, sources have told TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey.

The Pro League are set for another big summer of transfers and high-profile goalkeepers is one of the top priorities on their list of targets.

Along with Onana, Saudi are also targeting Manchester City’s Ederson and Liverpool’s Alisson, with both Brazilians still seen as two of the world’s best shotstoppers.

Whilst a deal for Manchester City’s Ederson looks increasingly possible, it remains to be seen if they can get Alisson out of Liverpool.
