Roger Federer gifts John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg custom Rolex watches as they bid farewell to Laver Cup

There has been a connection between McEnroe and Borg and the Laver Cup ever since it was first established in 2017.
The outgoing leaders of the Laver Cup, John McEnroe and Bjorn Borg, were each given a personalized Rolex GMT-Master II watch by Roger Federer. The watches were designed in the colors of their respective teams. Federer, who would go on to play a significant role in the realization of the Laver Cup, purchased a Rolex Model while keeping the colors of the team in mind.

The phrase “Laver Cup, Team Europe/Team World Captain, 2017-2024” was engraved on both the Pepsi that was given to McEnroe and the Batman that would be worn by Borg. Both of these items were presented to them as gifts.Since the very first tournament, which took place in 2017, Borg and McEnroe have been the captains of Team Europe and Team World, respectively.
