UEFA has fined Aston Villa €60,000 (£50,000) for failing to submit their financial reports on time, despite fulfilling the acceptable financial targets for the 2023-24 season.

The fine, reported by the BBC, is part of UEFA’s ongoing financial restrictions, which force clubs to present regular financial paperwork.

Aston Villa was punished by UEFA.
Villa received a penalty from UEFA’s Club Financial Control Body for late documentation. The team met UEFA’s financial standards, but the delay in presenting their records resulted in the fine.

Aston Villa are not the only club sanctioned; French club Marseille received a €20,000 (£17,000) fine for similar paperwork delays, while AS Roma received a far heavier penalty of €2 million (£1.7 million) for failing to reach financial requirements completely.
