Young people from West Fife are getting ready to travel to Edinburgh for the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The Shapiro: A Pop Star Musical production that is being performed by Kingdom Theatre Company, which has rehearsals in Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy, will be performing at the festival that is being held this year.

Helen Shapiro, a vocalist from the United Kingdom, enjoyed two number one hits by the time she was 15 years old, and the musical is based on her early life.Ann-Marie Miller plays the role of Helen, and Stuart McLean plays Norrie Paramor. The young cast includes Theo Hart, who is 15 years old, Amelie Christie, who is 14 years old, and Lily B. Martin, who is 13 years old.Inverkeithing High School, Queen Anne High School, and Dunfermline High School are the three high schools that the young people attend. They have all previous experience participating in musical shows.Lily, who is the youngest member of the group, expressed her excitement about her career in the theatre so far, saying, “I am very excited.” It is the only thing I do, and I do it constantly.

“Having a hobby that you have and that you do is so wonderful because it allows you to meet a lot of people and gives you a lot of opportunities,” that person said.The three individuals have a significant amount of theatrical experience between them. Amelie was seen in the performance of Les Misérables that was put on by Limelight Carnegie Youth in the month of June, and Theo has been seen in both Oliver and Les Misérables this year.Additionally, ily is presently preparing for the beginning of the Junior Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in September, in addition to rehearsing for The Wizard of Oz and Chicago both at the same time.

During the month of August, there will be only six shows, but the show will feature songs like “Walking Back to Happiness” that will transport you to the 1960s.
