In the upcoming season, Juan Pablo Montoya anticipates that Lewis Hamilton will return to the formidable form that he has displayed in the past.

The 39-year-old driver is quitting Mercedes after 12 years of service. Since losing out to Max Verstappen in 2021, he has failed to regain his championship-winning form. However, earlier this season, he won his first race in 945 days at the British Grand Prix.

Despite the fact that this is mostly down to the challenges that the Brackley-based team has had throughout the modern ground-effect era, the seven-time drivers’ champion has a new beginning as a result of his move to Maranello.

As someone who has won six grand prix and raced for both Williams and McLaren, Montoya anticipates seeing a revitalized Hamilton. He contends that if the Scuderia is able to develop a car that is competitive, the British driver will be able to compete for the championship.

The individual, who is 49 years old, stated to Gambling Zone, “I think we’ll see the Lewis of old.”

“He is going to be out with [for] revenge in order to demonstrate to everyone that they were mistaken about him and to prove that they were incorrect about him.

“I think if everything lines up, I think Lewis can be a huge threat for a championship.”Due to the fact that Hamilton has been competing in Formula One since 2007, he will bring with him a wealth of experience and skill when he makes the transfer to Ferrari.

Montoya believes that the Italian team would be wise to take any advise or feedback from Hamilton into consideration, despite the fact that it has been on an upward trajectory this season, winning three races thanks to Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.

In order for the Scuderia to win its first championship since taking home the constructors’ championship in 2008, the Colombian driver has demanded that the 2025 Formula One challenger be built with the 105-time grand prix winner in mind.

He came to the conclusion that in order for Ferrari to achieve success, the company must first pay attention to what Lewis need and then construct a vehicle that is centered around him.
