Mo Salah’s true feelings on Liverpool stay CONFIRMED as FSG are urged to ‘bend rules’ on new contract

An Anfield old-boy disclosed the player’s exact ideas on singing an extension, and with a commitment made to the Reds over the player’s fitness two, three, and four years from now, Liverpool has been ordered to do “whatever it takes” to cement Mo Salah down to a new term. This comes after the player divulged his exact opinions on signing an extension during the previous season.

Since making the move from Roma to Anfield in the summer of 2017, the Egyptian star has been nothing short of a revelation. The transfer cost Roma a cheap £36.9 million. Salah has tallied an astounding 243 goals in just 392 appearances, propelling him to the third spot on the all-time Liverpool best scorers record. He has been the top scorer for the Reds in each of his seven full seasons to date, and it is almost certain that he will make it eight this year.

However, because his contract is set to expire on June 30, the Reds are confronted with the very real possibility of Salah leaving the team as a free agent. The talismanic star’s contract is officially set to expire in just approximately 98 days, which is a very short amount of time.

And while Salah has made plenty of noise in the media about this being his ‘final year’ at Anfield, former Reds striker Michael Owen has now revealed exactly why the player fully intends to stick around and has stressed to owners FSG why they should have no fears that a downturn in form will follow as the years advance for a player who turns 33 this summer.

“Mo Salah is such an intriguing individual. During an interview with talkSPORT, Owen stated, “I believe Mo Salah wants to stay; in fact, I’m pretty sure he wants to stay.”

Because of this, I believe that Liverpool will be need to make some minor adjustments to the rules. They might say something like, “Oh right, only two years for players of this age.”

“However, he is not your typical player; he is as fit as a flea, he is committed, he spends his entire life in the gym, and he is really professional. When you tell me that he is not going to be at the same level in three or four years, you are not being honest with me.

Due to the fact that he is simply fantastic, I would be willing to break the regulations and offer him the contract, as well as the duration of the deal. Owen has sent a warning to Liverpool about the possibility of losing Salah, and he has made a significant commitment regarding the star’s fitness.
The fact that Salah is so old is the primary factor that is stopping FSG from offering him a lucrative new contract. As he approaches the age of 33 this summer, there are genuine concerns that they would be forced to shoulder the burden of paying enormous monthly wages to a celebrity who might, in the years to come, lose his cutting edge.

On the other hand, Owen is adamant that the player would be affected by factors such as age, fitness, or a dip in form. He cautions Liverpool that it would be substantially more expensive to find a successor who is on the same level as the Egyptian.

It is going to be an extremely expensive endeavour to find someone to take his place, and you will not be required to pay a transfer fee for him.
