Martin Brundle believes Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton can win a record-breaking ninth Formula One world championship.

After driving Ferrari’s 2023 Formula One car on Wednesday in front of 1,500 fans at their Fiorano test circuit in Italy, Hamilton has been enjoying his first week of work at the company.


The 40-year-old, who had only driven in Formula One with Mercedes power, performed 30 circuits (55 miles) while his family watched to acclimatise to new race engineer Riccardo Adami and the Ferrari car’s systems.

Brundle told Sky Sports News that “he is unquestionably [worth the money], already.”


Two of the biggest names—some could even say the largest names—in Formula 1’s seventy-five-year history. The account of Lewis Hamilton, who was clad entirely in the prancing horse’s red, is very remarkable. At Sky F1, it’s a tale, a present that will never stop giving.
