Manchester United is closely monitoring the progress of Jeremie Frimpong, a highly valued player from Bayer Leverkusen. However, the Dutchman, who is now valued at £34 million, has shown his willingness to consider a potential transfer to Liverpool, a rival team in the Premier League.

Last week, Fabrizio Romano stated that Manchester United is still interested in signing the former Manchester City player, who also played for Celtic before transferring to the Bundesliga. This interest comes as Manchester United prepares for their first summer under Ineos ownership.

Almost a year ago, the Red Devils engaged in discussions with Jeremie Frimpong, but ultimately decided to allocate their funds to other players, namely Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Diogo Dalot, who have gained the trust of Erik ten Hag. Despite almost a year passing, Wan-Bissaka is now clearly considered the second-best option, as the Portuguese player continues to improve. Romano asserts that the interest in Frimpong is still very much active.
