Manchester United maintains a strong interest in acquiring Jeremie Frimpong, a talented player from Bayer Leverkusen. However, a German football expert expresses doubts about Frimpong’s ability to duplicate his exceptional performance in the Bundesliga in the highly competitive Premier League. The potential transfer fee for the right-back is estimated at £35 million.

He is referred to as a ‘right-back’. Jeremie Frimpong has achieved a total of 10 goals and 10 assists, making him a significant contributor in both scoring and setting up goals. In Xabi Alonso’s 3-4-2-1 system, Frimpong is not a typical full-back but rather a genuine forward. He is granted exceptional freedom to advance forward and utilize his remarkable speed and impressive ability to produce results.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United engaged in discussions with a former talented player from Manchester City last summer and continue to show interest even after 12 months.

However, if Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso were to base his gameplan on the exceptional abilities of Frimpong and Alex Grimaldo on the opposite side, would Frimpong still have the same level of influence if he were to adapt to a different system that may not be as specifically designed for his strengths?
