Man Utd Star Antony Shuts Down Transfer Speculation with Strong Loyalty to Club

After watching their young stars flourish in the Premier League over the past year, Manchester United is now blessed with an abundance of winger options. However, one player who didn’t have a great season is Brazilian winger Antony, and supporters are hoping that he can work his magic once again to help the team qualify for the Champions League.

The winger is expected to remain at the team; according to a report from Fabrizio Romano, any rumours linking him to a move to Fenerbahce are unfounded. The former Ajax player is expected to fight for a spot in the red shirt at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future after falling out of favour there over the previous year.According to the Romano report, there is “no truth” to the rumours that Antony is leaving United late in the Turkish transfer window for Fenerbahce. Antony is “fully committed” to the project at United, having signed a two-year contract worth an initial £82 million to join the club from Ajax.

The Brazilian had a terrible season last year, managing just three goals and two assists in 38 games. At the end of the season, he managed a single Premier League goal against Burnley, and the other two goals he scored were in the FA Cup, against Newport County and Liverpool, respectively.

Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho have clearly surpassed Erik ten Hag in the right-wing hierarchy this season. Diallo scored one of United’s two goals against Brighton, but that doesn’t mean the star will give up his spot at Old Trafford; the trickster is willing to wait his turn and earn a spot at the Theatre of Dreams.

Romano goes on to say that even though Antony was reportedly given playing time at Fenerbahce, he had “no intention” of leaving United this summer.
