With eight minutes remaining in the additional thirty minutes, Marcus Rashford tied the score. Amad won the game in stoppage time after Liverpool was caught on the counterattack. Although his team is only contending with two more fronts this season, Klopp had hoped to cap off his tenure in Merseyside with a quadruple.

Carragher was able to express what the majority of fans were thinking after the game. He tweeted, “Absolutely amazing game.” Fantastic victory for Manchester United, but Liverpool are solely to blame.

“Won three goals, but their attackers were all terrible.” I really can’t complain because they’ve been excellent the entire season.

“Football, bloody hell” was all he wrote at the end of the post. The Premier League and the Europa League are now the only competitions the Reds are interested in because of their FA Cup loss.

Only one point behind the United States in the Premier League standings, Klopp’s team is currently second only to Arsenal in terms of goal differential. In two games in the middle of April, Liverpool and Atalanta will play in the Europa League.
