Liverpool Ace Earns High Praise From Gabriel Agbonlahor After Dazzling Performance

Before the international break, Liverpool made a statement under Arne Slot by defeating Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford.

The visiting team was well on their way thanks to a brace from Luis Diaz in the first half, and Mohamed Salah’s goal after the break cemented the outcome.

After a robust start to the game, Manchester United never really got going as Liverpool thoroughly destroyed them in front of their own supporters.

Slot would have been pleased with several of his players’ performances, but after his midfield battle with Casemiro, Gabriel Agbonlahor has singled out Ryan Gravenberch for particular recognition.

Gabby Agbonlahor was astounded by Ryan Gravenberch’s display.
Gravenberch led the Liverpool attack in the middle of the park during his third start of the season in the number six position, putting up perhaps his greatest Anfield performance to yet.

He also had a big part in the opening goal, winning a bad pass from Casemiro and driving forward with it to set up Salah, who found an unguarded Diaz at the back post.

Agbonlahor believes that Gravenberch’s performance at Old Trafford—where the Brazilian was hooked for Toby Collyer at halftime—was the last straw in Casemiro’s career.

“Yesterday, I thought he was fantastic. “I think he retired Casemiro,” Agbonlahor stated on talkSPORT.
