This move to Ferrari has been in the pipeline since the start of last season, when the 39-year-old made the decision to end an 11-year association with Mercedes. The seven-time world champion will link up with Charles Leclerc to create a formidable driving line-up, having replaced Carlos Sainz who left Ferrari to join Williams in the off-season. Hamilton will begin life with his new team at the season-opening race at the Australian Grand Prix, which takes place in Melbourne on the weekend of March 15.The 39-year-old posted about the importance of “embracing new opportunities” in a post on his LinkedIn page.
