Every one of my guys told me yesterday that they were scared of him. Three of them have been told to take time off until further notice. Barnsley’s coach suspends THREE players because they admitted they didn’t know how to deal with the £68 million Manchester United star.

Manchester United easily beat Barnsley 7-0 at Old Trafford on Tuesday to move on to the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup.

The United camp didn’t have much faith after losing 3-0 to Liverpool right before the international break.

After that, though, they did a great job of turning things around and changing the mood at the team by winning back-to-back games against Barnsley and Southampton.

In the game on Tuesday at Old Trafford, Alejandro Garnacho, Christian Eriksen, and Marcus Rashford all scored twice. Antony, a winger who gets a lot of bad press, also scored with a penalty in the first half.

The national media gave the Red Devils a lot of credit for their game. They were especially happy with Garnacho.

The Daily Mail gave the Argentine player an 8 out of 10 for his performance and said he was almost “unstoppable.”

The young winger not only scored two goals easily, but also set up Rashford twice.

The 20-year-old not only made three great chances and three important passes, but he also finished all three long balls.

Garnacho has been great for Manchester United since his first game with the first team in April 2022.

The previous season, he played in 36 Premier League games and scored 11 goals.

Starting in his first game of the 2024–25 season, a 3-0 loss to Liverpool, Garnacho looked like he would start against Southampton.

Manager Erik ten Hag put him on the bench, though, and put Amad Diallo in at center back instead.

In the end, it turned out that the boss took the Argentine out of the starting lineup for tactical reasons (Manchester Evening News).
