While Lachie Neale was addressing the crowd at the AFL grand final parade, he made a subtle jab at the fans of Collingwood. Many people also noticed that he was the captain who was the last one to touch the premiership cup on Friday. Neale was subjected to the infamous booing of Collingwood supporters during the grand final parade of the previous year, which took place before to the big dance between Brisbane and the Magpies in that year.

The fans of Collingwood were enraged by the fact that Neale had triumphed over Nick Daicos to win the Brownlow Medal, and they informed the Lions co-captain about it when they were participating in the procession. After taking into consideration that Neale was holding his little daughter at the time, neutral observers considered that the behavior of Collingwood fans was extremely inappropriate.During the Lions’ preparations for their match against Sydney on Saturday, there was no drama of any nature this year. In the year 2023, it was co-captain Harris Andrews who was the one to deliver the speech on stage during the parade. However, Neale took over that responsibility a year later.

In addition to that, he made it a point to make a sly remark about Collingwood during the process. The response that Neale gave when he was asked how he was feeling was, “I’m just glad I’m not being booed this year.”
