Is Slow Horses a Strategic Move in Disguise? here are some reasons

I’ve only just started watching Slow Horses, so I haven’t had the chance to dive into the comments or discussions about the show yet. However, one thing immediately stands out to me—there seems to be more to the story than meets the eye. In my view, Slow Horses might be a clever ruse, and there’s a deeper purpose behind its setup. At the center of this theory is Jackson Lamb, who is without a doubt the most skilled field agent within the group. Though he appears to be relegated to a low-status position among the “slow horses” (the agents who are considered misfits), I believe this is all part of a bigger plan. By positioning him in such a way, the intelligence agency may be using him as a decoy, a bait to attract rogue elements who underestimate the group. This setup provides Lamb with a unique advantage—direct access to dangerous individuals who think they can exploit what they perceive as a vulnerability. These rogue agents, assuming the Slow Horses are no threat, might not realize that Lamb is exactly where he needs to be to work his magic. By being underestimated, he’s able to operate freely and efficiently in a way that most agents wouldn’t be able to.It’s fascinating to think about how Lamb’s apparent downfall could actually be a masterstroke of strategic positioning. While others might view his situation as a demotion or punishment, he’s using it to infiltrate and take down the very people who assume he’s no longer a threat. This isn’t just about playing the long game—it’s about putting Lamb in a position where he can do what he does best.As the series unfolds, I’m curious to see how this theory plays out. It would be exciting to see how the apparent weakness of the Slow Horses is actually their greatest strength, allowing them to outsmart those who underestimate them. In the end, Lamb’s placement might just be the perfect opportunity for him to shine in ways no one expected.
