The head coach of the Port Adelaide football team, Ken Hinkey, has stated that he is “absolutely committed” to guiding the club into his thirteenth season in 2025. This is despite speculations that suggested the 57-year-old head coach might resign from his position.

According to reports that surfaced this week, some who are close to Hinkley would not be surprised if he resigned from his position as Power coach owing to the amount of conjecture that has been going on around his role.

Even though Port has finished in the top four on many occasions, Hinkley has not been able to guide the club past the preliminary obstacle since he took over as coach in 2013. He is the longest-serving coach in the history of the club.”I can only reiterate the position that I’m seeing through the exit period, and that is that Ken is absolutely committed to this group getting better for 2025,” he told reporters. “I’m seeing this with Ken throughout the exit period.”

“That (whether he will definitely continue coaching) would ultimately be a question for Ken to answer,” On the other hand, from my point of view, I don’t see anything that would indicate that he is not as enthusiastic about the possibilities for the following year as he was at this time last year.

We have just returned from three days’ worth of end-of-service meetings. We have reached the beginning of what our coaching review looks like, and there is nothing that I can think of right now that would lead me to believe that Ken does not have the energy to play in the 2025 season.

“I believe that it is a burden for each and every coach. The 18 senior coaches of the Australian Football League have a challenging task. If they are at the top of the ladder, they are the ones who bear the brunt of people’s perceptions that they are on top of the world, or equally, that they are the problem when their team is at the bottom of the ladder, regardless of whether Ken or the other coaches around the tournament are the ones having these perceptions.

I believe that Ken is a remarkable individual who has demonstrated over the course of time that he is able to extract a considerable amount of value from this group. It is impossible to achieve the level of performance that we do without having a coach that is able to inspire and motivate not only his playing group but also the crew that is surrounding him.

Despite the fact that the team failed not make it to the grand final once again, Davies was certain that it was inappropriate for anyone to say that the club had not “achieve something” in the year.
