Heartbroken Dockers aim to bounce back in western derby
According to Fremantle defender Jordan Clark, he was left heartbroken by the three-point loss to Sydney. However, he is adamant that the players are continuing to be “positive as hell” as they attempt to recover from a 0-2 start.
While Sydney converted the final two goals of the contest to snag a stunning victory at Optus Stadium on Sunday, the Dockers continued their pattern of losing close games in 2024. This was the second time that this pattern had occurred.
After the game, Fremantle’s players were in a state of disarray because they had committed a number of critical errors in the final five minutes of the game.
Even though it was a significantly better performance than the one that they had a week before, when they had lost to Geelong by 78 points, Clark stated that it was still a result that left him feeling “pretty damaged” and that it had a profound impact on him.
