The Miami enchantment has finally worn off, and Michael Irvin can now wash his long-sleeved UM shirt that features a good luck symbol.

Football fans at Florida State University can now rest easy knowing that their in-state rivals were defeated on Saturday.

The No. 4 Miami Hurricanes, who had been undefeated up until this point, were defeated by Georgia Tech by a score of 28-23, while the Florida Gators were defeated by Texas by a score of 49-17.

It was Tech’s second consecutive victory in the series, and it came against UM. Not surprisingly, the Yellow Jackets kicked off this season with a victory over Florida State University in Dublin, Ireland.

A number of posts on the Noles Only Facebook page highlighted the improved disposition of fans who had witnessed their team suffer terribly throughout the course of this season. Before Saturday’s game against No. 8 Notre Dame, Florida State University had a record of 1-8 overall and had lost five games in a row.

“Good day when Miami and Florida take an L”

“Georgia Tech is running counter against Miami the way we used to run it!”

“GEORGIA TECH IS RUINING SEASONS”

“GA Tech showing scUM how to take a knee.”

In spite of having 370 yards of offense, Miami struggled throughout the most of the game, particularly defensively. With 270 yards on the ground and two touchdowns on the ground, a significant portion of it appeared on the ground.

With a season-low 23 points, Georgia Tech was able to hold Miami’s No. 1 offense to a season-low. During the third quarter, the Yellow Jackets held a lead that reached as high as 21-10. In Week 0 of the season, Florida State University was defeated by Georgia Tech, and in Week 9, they were defeated by Miami.
