Fremantle dropped to 10th place on the AFL ladder after losing their past four games, even though they were in the top four following Round 20.

Their season ended after they lost to Geelong, GWS, and Port Adelaide after suffering a devastating one-point loss to Essendon.


The Dockers seem to have a strong team that should reach the 2025 finals now that they have matchwinner Shai Bolton in their forward line.

The Fremantle forward line, which thrived last season with Josh Treacy’s breakthrough season in which he kicked 45 goals in 20 games, gains an additional level of sophistication with the signing of Shai Bolton.


The Dockers appear to have a formidable forward line now that Luke Jackson is giving them a target and Jye Amiss is probably going to contribute with 40 goals or so.

The 2025 AFL season begins when?
Premiers Brisbane and Geelong will square off in a big match at the Gabba on Thursday, March 6 to kick off the 2025 AFL season.

It will be the first of four games in the ‘Opening Round’, where the AFL teams from the eastern coast states host the season’s opening games.

The classic’season opener’ between Carlton and Richmond will take place at the MCG on Thursday, March 13 in Round 1.
