For the second time, Greene has served as a coach for the Tigers. He began his coaching career in 2009 and continued until 2011 after graduating from college in 1999.

He will be continuing his successful career that spanned decades in North Carolina, specifically The Triangle.

The Tigers reached the Elite Eight for the second time in school history and the first time since 1980 in Greene’s return, winning 24 games. With 47 victories in the last two seasons, Clemson has now won 20 games in a row. The next year, they made it to the competition once more, however they lost in the preliminary stage.

Arizona, Stanford, Charlotte, Florida, and Miami are among the schools that Greene has coached. He held the same post at Florida for the longest period of time, from 2011 to 2022. In this capacity, he served towards the end of both the Billy Donovan and Mike White eras.
