David Moyes makes an unconventional request prior to West Ham’s Europa League match against Freiburg.

David Moyes is encouraging the companies in east London to allow West Ham fans to leave work early tomorrow afternoon.

The Hammers will play against Freiburg in the second leg of their Europa League round of 16 match, with a unique start time of 5:45pm.

Moyes is optimistic that implementing flexible working arrangements will enable supporters to get at the London Stadium sufficiently early, thereby generating an intense atmosphere and aiding in the reversal of a one-goal disadvantage.

“The kick-off time for our club in London is unusual,” Moyes remarked. “We must rely on the fans successfully navigating the busy period of rush-hour traffic, and the availability of flexible working hours to enable individuals to arrive at the game punctually.” From a cultural standpoint, it is not customary for us to start games at this particular time. However, we acknowledge the influence of European culture and television broadcasting.
