For the first time ever, Nebraska softball stands atop the national rankings, reaching No. 1 in a season that’s redefining the program’s legacy. The Cornhuskers have surged to the top behind dominant performances, unmatched team chemistry, and a fearless competitive edge.

At the center of it all is star pitcher and slugger Jordy Bahl, whose two-way excellence has drawn comparisons to the game’s greats. Bahl ranks among the top ten in the country across key categories — batting average, home runs, ERA, and wins — an unprecedented feat that earned her both Big Ten Player and Pitcher of the Year honors, and a spot as a finalist for USA Softball’s National Player of the Year.
