Celebrating the victory on Senior Day, Notre Dame fans express their concerns with the team’s performance.

Notre Dame has won eight consecutive games by a significant margin.
As a result of a strong defensive performance that resulted to a 35-14 victory over Virginia, Marcus Freeman has now achieved a record of three out of three when it comes to winning Senior Day games at Notre Dame Stadium during his tenure. Those that called in to the Always Irish live postgame show expressed their satisfaction with the victory, which was Notre Dame’s eighth consecutive victory, and expressed their admiration for the Irish defence, which once again impressed them.

Each and every week, this unit continues to put on plays and perform at a very high level. The consistency of this unit is something that the fans admire. In each and every game, including the one that Notre Dame was defeated in, it plays winning football. More specifically, Xavier Watts stood out as the player who fans wanted to go out of their way to mention in relation to tonight’s game. It is not only to acknowledge his outstanding performance in this game, but also for his entire time of playing for Ireland.Despite the fact that the Irish fans are aware of the fact that it is a wonderful luxury to be able to complain about areas in which the team has to improve after a significant victory, they are concerned about the kickoff game and the offence.

With this in mind, the callers are concerned about the passing game in the long haul. The passing game has not been a reliable component of the offence for the majority of the season, especially when compared to the run games that Love, Price, and Leonard have been playing. In order for Notre Dame to make a long run at the College Football Playoff, will the Irish offence that we have seen for the majority of the year be sufficient, or will there need to be another level to how they threaten defence?

Another aspect of the game that puts Irish supporters on edge is the kicking game. In the game against Virginia, Mitch Jeter is not in good enough health to kick field goals, and the two guys who missed them were both tremendously missed. It is not a problem unless it becomes a problem that anything of this nature occurs.

There is finally a glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel for the CFP. Notre Dame has two games left, and if it’s able to win both of them, it will qualify for the College Football Playoff field, and it might even get a home game. The remaining two conflicts need to be won. Is it possible that this team has come too far to not close the deal at this point?
