The 59-year-old actress tells PEOPLE that her 18-year-old requested her to wear an unexpected attire for an upcoming function at her college, all while talking about her new haircare product Commence. Along with her spouse Chris Henchy, Shields has a 21-year-old daughter named Rowan Francis Henchy.


“We’re going to parents’ weekend soon and Grier called me and said, ‘I want you to wear cowboy boots and a little short dress,'” Shields remembers. “I said, ‘I don’t think that that is appropriate and I do not want to.'”
