BREAKING NEWS;; Gary Lineker makes Aston Villa league prediction as he backs £120k-a-week player to shine

After making significant squad additions during the summer, Aston Villa will be primed for success in the Premier League this year.

Villa Park currently has the opportunity to play in the Champions League after Unai Emery guided the team to fourth place in the Premier League the previous season.

Although Douglas Luiz and Moussa Diaby left Villa to join other teams, the team has also been active in bringing in new players.

This summer, the Villans added Amadou Onana, Ian Maatsen, Jaden Philogene, Samuel Iling-Junior, Lewis Dobbin, Enzo Barrenechea, and Ross Barkley.

Now that the season is underway, Gary Lineker has made his predictions about Villa’s performance and endorsed one of their players for yet another successful campaign.

Aston Villa is predicted by Gary Lineker, Micah Richards, and Alan Shearer to finish “just outside the top four.”
In an interview with The Rest is Football, Lineker predicted that Ollie Watkins will once again be a star and that the Villans will be a formidable team.

Still, Lineker believes Villa will finish just outside the top four, as do Micah Richards and Alan Shearer.

“I don’t see them making the top four, but they’ll be challenging for European football again,” Shearer stated.

Richards continued, “Yeah, I concur. little outside of the top four.

“They’ve been fantastic thus far, but playing Champions League football will drain them.”

“I’m going to go, so Europe, just missing out on the top four.”

“Yeah, I’m going to agree with you on that one,” Lineker retorted.

They seem to miss Douglas Luiz, in my opinion. He joined Juventus in the summer, and I think he’s a pretty good player. But they’ll be formidable once more.

“Ollie Watkins was a vital member of the England team and his amazing goal won the match. I hope he has a successful season again.

Feeling upbeat at Villa Park
Supporters of Villa Park will be hoping that all three analysts are mistaken and that their team can improve upon their fourth-place finish from the previous campaign.

Watkins is essential to the Villans’ chances. Last season, the £120,000-per-week striker (Salarysport) led his team in all competitions with 27 goals and 13 assists.

It will be a difficult season for Villa because teams like Manchester United, Chelsea, and Tottenham are also aiming for the top four spots in the Premier League because there is so much talent in the top half of the table.

But Emery has proven he’s right up there with the best managers in the English premier league, so there’s definitely cause for confidence at B6.
