Black Doves review — Keira Knightley’s spy series is Slow Horses by way of Love Actually

Within the first four minutes, there are three murders, one of which involves a cut throat, and there are a great many more murders to come. This is a Christmas narrative that is both heartwarming and rare. On the other hand, despite the blood and gore, Joe Barton’s Black Doves, which is available on Netflix, surprisingly ends up being extremely touching. Keira Knightley shines in the role of Helen Webb, a seemingly perfect and fragrant political wife who is actually a lethal spy. She is a spy who is passing on the secrets that she learns from her oblivious defence secretary husband, Wallace (Andrew Buchan), to a private espionage company that sells them to the highest bidder. This is a comical black comedy.

It is evident that he is not a very good or diligent defence secretary because, at one point, he failed to notice that his wife stores a variety of weapons in his house. I find this to be quite disappointing.
