Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkins, Ezri Konsa, Emi Martinez, and Jhon Duran returned to Bodymoor Heath on Tuesday after missing the club’s tour of the USA to represent their countries in finals last month.

Konsa and Watkins both impressed at Euro 2024, and                                                                                                                                                                                                      were part of the England team that lost to Spain in the final. The latter propelled the Three Lions to the final by scoring a late goal against the Netherlands in the semi-final at Signal Iduna Park, where Unai Emery’s team will play their final pre-season friendly against Borussia Dortmund this Saturday.

Martinez received the Copa America trophy after once again helping Argentina win silverware. Lautaro Martinez’s extra-time goal propelled La Albiceleste to victory over Colombia in the final at Hard Rock Stadium in Florida.

Duran was named to Colombia’s Copa America roster but only appeared once, against Costa Rica in the second round of the group stage. Chelsea had interest in him earlier this summer, but the trade fell through, and West Ham attempted to sign him after failing to do so in January.
