Arsenal vehemently refuted any allegations that Mikel Arteta made derogatory remarks about Sergio Conceicao’s family subsequent to their triumph against Porto in the Champions League.

Arsenal advanced to the quarter-finals of the league for the first time since 2010 by defeating the Portuguese giants 4-2 in a penalty shootout on Thursday evening. Arsenal emerged victorious with a 1-0 scoreline, courtesy of Leandro Trossard’s goal, which nullified Porto’s advantage from the first leg.

Although Arsenal’s victory sparked exuberant festivities at the Emirates Stadium, the subsequent events after the match turned unpleasant. Porto manager Conceicao has accused Arteta of making offensive remarks about his family.

After the game, he stated that while the game was in progress and directed at the bench, the individual insulted his family in Spanish. He also mentioned that he was unsure if this behavior is common among Spanish managers. Ultimately, I informed him that the individual he disparaged is deceased.
