Andy Roddick is already at it once more! A former professional tennis player from the United States, who is famous not only for his blistering serves but also for his razor-sharp sense of humor, is once again making headlines, but this time it is not about tennis. In preparation for an epic pickleball matchup with Eugenie Bouchard, Roddick is exchanging his racquet for a paddle. Bouchard is also participating in the match. Who is their adversary? The legendary tennis players Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf are the ones in question. Because the court is becoming smaller and the stakes are getting higher, Roddick is not holding back. In true fashion, he is giving his characteristic mix of confident banter and fun banter for the audience.

As part of the announcement that the third iteration of The Pickleball Slam will be returning, Agassi was featured in a video that was uploaded on Instagram in September of this year. The tournament will take place on February 16, 2025, in Las Vegas, which is also Agassi’s hometown. “This time I will be pairing up with my Pickleball Slam win partner Andy Roddick, who will be pairing up with Genie Bouchard,” he stated. “Genie Bouchard will be my partner.” However, even before the confrontation, some cheeky exchanges have already occurred, and this time, it is Roddick who is assured that his outstanding comrade Bouchard will be the one to propel the team to victory.

Speaking in a video shared on Instagram by The Pickleball Slam‘s official handle, Roddick stated, “I don’t know since I played the last pickleball slam but my partner is a pro so hopefully that will help.” For those who are unaware, Bouchard entered the sport of pickleball after she was unable to qualify for the United States Open the previous year. She is currently competing at a professional level. Nevertheless, he emphasized that it would not be a difficult challenge for them, and he contrasted the experience of competing against his opponents to that of competing against his own parents. “When I play with my child, I’m sure we get really close to each other. Will be well,” he went on to say. However, it is interesting to note that despite Roddick’s seeming self-assurance, the match that will take place in February will not be devoid of difficulties for his squad.
