Tuesday was the first game of the series between the New York Yankees and the Seattle Mariners. It took place at T-Mobile Park, and it was a fight that made history for Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. As of now, “El Juez” is keeping up his fast pace and great form. The Dominican has hit 40 home runs in Major League Baseball this season and 200 home runs in his career.

The only other players in Manhattan Mets history to hit 40 or more home runs in a single season were Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Roger Maris, and Mickey Mantle. Soto Pacheco holds the record for most home runs of all time. The first one did it three times, in 1927, 1930, and 1931. The second one did it in 1961.The leader of the Bronx Bombers usually gets all the attention, but this night it was the man from Santo Domingo who was the star. He now holds the amazing record of hitting a home run in all 30 Major League ballparks. There was only one ground left on his list, and that was T-Mobile Park. That changed this Tuesday.

“The Judge” was the first in the Yankees’ win over the Mariners. He drove in four runs with a pair of deep hits to left field in the first two innings. Aaron Boone’s team was ahead 4-0 thanks to home runs by Gleyber Torres (2), Alex Verdugo, and Juan Soto. However, Seattle tied the game at 4-1 with a home run by Jorge Polanco at the end of the second inning.
