Ty Bracey thinks Lucas Digne’s rejection of a transfer to Galatasaray will lead Aston Villa to trade Alex Moreno. 

On August 7, social media went wild when the Frenchman misled Turkish journalist Yağız Sabuncuoğlu, implying that a deal had been made with Gala.

Unai Emery’s team is loaded at left back with the 31-year-old now expected to stay at Villa Park following the arrivals of Moreno and Ian Maatsen.

According to Villa podcaster Bracy, the Spaniard might now be the fall guy, forced to go before the transfer window closes.

Bracey said exclusively to Villa News, “He has stated that he is pleased at Villa and has rejected a move.

We have a lot of players on the left side of the pitch, therefore I believe it would be prudent to remove one of them from the roster. Really, it all comes down to matching players with appropriate clubs.

“I firmly believe that we only need one left back; three is not necessary.

“I believe one needs to go because you’re going to want Maatsen to play games after we’ve spent that much money on him.
