It has been reported that Andre Onana is adamant about continuing his employment with Manchester United beyond the current season. This is in spite of the fact that head coach Ruben Amorim appears to be interested in acquiring a replacement.

The transfer from Inter in 2023 for a fee of 47.2 million pounds has been difficult for Onana. Despite the fact that he has had some unquestionably outstanding performances, the Cameroon international is currently under a significant amount of criticism as a result of a string of mistakes that were not his fault.

The Manchester Evening News reports that the player himself is not interested in giving up his team, despite the fact that it has been rumoured that Amorim is eager to replace Onana this summer as part of a massive squad overhaul.

It is emphasised that Onana is “intent” on continuing his career at United, whom he considers to be the “only club” he would like to enjoy playing for. Although the custodian did change agents not too long ago, it is not considered that this change has anything to do with a potential transfer in the future.

In light of the fact that Amorim has admitted in public that the Red Devils need to sell players before they can buy fresh players, such a position would be a significant blow to the transfer plans that United has in place. Although the departure of the understudy Altay Bayindir is anticipated, it is quite improbable that the cash required to find a high-level stopper would be generated.

In public, Amorim has chosen to support Onana and has urged him to “forget the past” after he was criticised for his part in both of Ipswich Town’s goals in their most recent victory, which was 3-2.

On the other hand, work is still being done behind the scenes in order to find a new checkpoint. Senne Lammens, who is rumoured to be a target for Royal Antwerp, has publicly stated that he would be open to receiving an offer. Additionally, players such as Gregor Kobel of Borussia Dortmund and Bart Verbruggen of Brighton & Hove Albion have been mentioned as possible candidates.
