Finlay Macrae, a midfielder for Collingwood, is rumored to be “keen to find a suitor” during this offseason. This comes after Macrae has struggled to establish himself as a primary member of the Magpies’ top team this year.

Following an encouraging pre-season phase, Macrae participated in nine games at the Australian Football League level. His career total currently stands at 25 games, which he has played over the course of four seasons since being selected in the top 20 of the draft.

Given the arrival of recruit Harry Perryman and the dearth of midfielders anticipated to leave the club during this trade season, the young onballer has a deal at Olympic Park for the next year, but it may be more difficult for him to obtain opportunities at Collingwood the next year thanks to the fact that he has a deal with Olympic Park.

According to reports, Macrae’s condition has prompted the Magpie, who are on the fringe, to evaluate the open market and look for a potential suitor. However, no club has surfaced as a likely landing site as of yet.

An announcement made by Mitch Cleary of 7 News on Wednesday night indicated that Fin Macrae is eager to find a suitor despite the fact that he still has one year left on his contract.

Although he was selected in the first round in the past, the 22-year-old player is not yet being pursued by clubs. In this year, he participated in nine games.According to the current situation of Macrae’s contract, it is possible that he will continue to play for Collingwood for the 2025 season. However, the fates of numerous other Magpies are questionable as they continue to be without deals with less than a week remaining in the trade market.

The following players have not yet signed contracts for the upcoming season: Jack Bytel, Charlie Dean, Joshua Eyre, Nathan Kreuger, Ned Long, Reef McInnes, Wil Parker, and Lachie Sullivan. Joe Richards, on the other hand, has asked to be traded to Port Adelaide.

There have been rumors that the Magpies are interested in acquiring the services of Power defender Dan Houston and St. Kilda tall Jack Hayes. It is believed that Hayes has undergone a medical examination at Collingwood this week.

As a result of the likely arrival of Hayes, the club may decide to release either Kreuger or McInnes, which would result in a reorganization of their major forward stocks.

It is highly probable that list calls from Collingwood will be received after the exchange window shuts on the following Wednesday evening.
