The individual responsible for supervising the protracted selling procedure of Manchester United has disclosed that Sheikh Jassim does exist, contradicting the belief of Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Complete name Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the chairman of Qatar Islamic Bank, was a potential buyer for United after the Glazer family made themselves available for proposals in November 2022. However, save from a few scattered photographs and fragments of information that were revealed over the course of the 14-month story, we were provided with very limited details about him.

Upon the completion of his £1.3 billion acquisition of a 27.7 percent share in the club, INEOS chairman Ratcliffe humorously remarked, “Interestingly, no one has actually laid eyes on him yet.” The Glazers have never encountered him…. he has never… I am uncertain of his existence!”

Joe Ravitch has indeed encountered the Sheikh and provided a highly positive assessment of his character. Ravitch, a co-founder and partner of Raine Group, has been assigned the responsibility of negotiating with potential parties on behalf of the Glazers, by the merchant bank. During an interview with The Times, he disclosed, “We encountered Jassim.” He resided in New York. He is an amiable individual; an exceptionally intelligent individual.
