A former tennis darling who is now a pickleball superstar has responded to comments made by Steffi Graf with a sarcastic remark in advance of a mega matchup.

The ‘Pickleball Slam 3’ commences at this very moment. Steffi Graf made her first appearance in the sport of pickleball at the Pickleball Slam 2 in the previous year. The tournament featured Graf and Andre Agassi competing against John McEnroe and Maria Sharapova (pictured). They competed for a purse worth one million dollars. Eugenie Bouchard, on the other hand, is expected to make her debut in the forthcoming edition of the Canadian Open, where she will compete against both Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, along with her partner Andy Roddick. Bouchard’s most recent match was a “qualifying-round” encounter at the 2024 tournament. The Canadian star made a subtle response to the tennis legend’s trash talk just before their highly anticipated final match, which took place at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas.

Yesterday, Eugenie Bouchard made a bold statement on the Instagram page of The Pickleball Slam, claiming, “The Genie is out of the bottle, I am ready to kick some A–.” This was the beginning of all that has transpired. However, the ideal response came from none other than Graf, proving that the hoopla was, in fact, real. Shortly after the film from Canada was broadcast, the page published another brief video depicting Graf and her husband, Andre Agassi. In this video, the German legend responded by saying, “We’re going to put the Genie back in the bottle.” An excellent example of trash talking from the former number one player in the world, wouldn’t you say?

But what really caused the story to go viral was when Genie herself re-shared the tape on her Instagram story. She captioned it with the phrase “if you told young me that Steffi Graf would be trash talking me like this one day,” which was a mysterious yet intriguing retort from the Canadian.
