LeBron James and Stephen Curry provided us with one of the most recognisable images in USA basketball history. LeBron went up to Curry after the buzzer went off in the Olympic final. The two were facing each other, beaming with excitement. There will always be mystery surrounding what precisely they discuss behind the scenes because we have no idea what was said during those exchanges or what transpired in the locker room.

When Stephen Curry appeared on CNBC, he dropped a clue. Curry seemed to be preparing for life beyond basketball, but it will be a while after retirement. Therefore, LeBron James’ advice on how to build a safe life after hanging up his shoes can work like magic.

Curry addressed that and remarked, “Certainly. Almost anything. When asked if he discussed running a production company with LeBron, he replied, “I know it’s such a great opportunity to leverage the platform of basketball, you know, doors that are open in a lot of different ways and, you know, amplifying, who we are about in our own unique ways.” The Lakers star, Steph Curry, owns his own production firm, Unanimous Media, while the Springhill firm is his. Hence, it’s best to prepare for life without basketball, as Curry said, “I got at least 3 years left,” in response to a query regarding when he might retire.

“I know that he’s been an expert at it for a very long time, and he’s in a position where this is preparing him for life beyond work, so we can stay in a position, whether it’s doing some broadcasting or delving more into shows like Mr. Throwback, which is what we intend to do. I’m thrilled about everything,” Curry continued. As part of their “Must See TV” period, NBC will once more air the Warriors star’s mockumentary, “Mr. Throwback,” on September 12, 2024, following its August 8 airing on Peacock.
