Joao Felix, a target for Aston Villa, was specifically mentioned by Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca when he stated he wanted more players to arrive before this month’s deadline.

Villa was first tipped to join the Premier League this summer, and the Blues have been chasing him hard over the last week. After another deal between them and Atletico Madrid fell through, talks started out surprisingly and have since gradually moved forward to the point where the Daily Mail reports that both teams are still aiming for a £40 million agreement with add-ons.

Left in the dark while Maresca tries to snatch away Unai Emery’s ideal move, Unai Emery is believed to be eager to work with this player in particular. When asked about the continuous rumours concerning Felix and Victor Osimhen’s potential arrivals before the weekend, the new man in the Stamford Bridge dugout responded cryptically.
