😳 ‘Sore loser energy’ 🤔 ‘Why’s he so bitter? 😬 ‘Pure waffle here from Caicedo’ The Chelsea midfielder’s comments have gone down badly with Arsenal supporters 😬

Moises Caicedo, a midfielder for Chelsea, has drawn criticism for his controversial remarks after his team’s 1-0 loss to Arsenal on Sunday. This season, the Ecuadorian has made great progress and is starting to live up to the £115 million the Blues spent for him in 2023.

With Cole Palmer and Enzo Fernandez playing important roles alongside him, Caicedo, who is now considered to be among the best midfield players in the world, has made sure Enzo Maresca won’t need to make significant investments in that area this summer. This occurs while the Blues are still trying to figure out why they haven’t been scoring goals in previous weeks. The 23-year-old’s evaluation of Chelsea’s performance against Arsenal, nevertheless, has not been well received. His comments have been mocked by supporters of both teams as well as by neutrals, who have called the game one of the most boring of the season. Although Mikel Merino’s game-winning header was the only real highlight of an otherwise unmemorable afternoon in north London, Caicedo’s assertion that Chelsea was the superior team was widely ridiculed and met with incredulity. After losing 1-0, Caicedo told Chelsea TV, “It was difficult, [but] the team showed character.” He went on (see the entire interview below):

“We weren’t clinical, but we were superior to them. I’m glad to say that the team performed well. We’ve just been working with Arsenal for two years, but they’ve been with us for seven, and we proved to be superior, which is good!
